The Weeknd has officially closed the curtain on one of the biggest touring runs in music history.
After more than four years on the road, his massive After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour concluded in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with Live Nation announcing that the trek grossed more than $1.3 billion worldwide. The total makes it the highest-grossing tour by a male artist in history.
The historic tour began in July 2022 and ultimately expanded into a global stadium run spanning 176 shows, 67 cities, 30 countries and five continents. More than 9 million tickets were sold over the course of the tour.
The final performance took place at TM Stadium National in Kuala Lumpur, bringing an end to a touring era that stretched across North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Latin America, Australia and Asia.
What originally began as a tour centered around After Hours and Dawn FM eventually grew to include music from The Weeknd’s 2025 album Hurry Up Tomorrow, allowing the stadium production to evolve alongside three major phases of his career.
The final Asian portion of the tour also demonstrated how strong demand remained even after four years of touring.
Live Nation initially announced 11 Asian dates, but demand eventually pushed the schedule to 17 sold-out stadium shows. The expanded run included three performances in Bangkok and four shows in Hong Kong before the tour reached its finale in Malaysia.
The Weeknd’s 2026 touring numbers alone were enormous.
According to Live Nation, the tour sold more than 3 million tickets and grossed over $500 million during 2026, meaning a significant portion of the overall $1.3 billion total came during its final year.
In July, the After Hours Til Dawn Tour also topped Billboard’s monthly Boxscore ranking after generating more than $120 million in a single month while selling nearly 900,000 tickets.
Several individual markets became historic stops along the way.
The Weeknd performed multiple nights at some of the world’s largest stadiums, including SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Rogers Centre in Toronto and Stade de France in Paris. Variety reports that the tour ultimately included seven performances at SoFi Stadium, six shows at Rogers Centre and six sold-out dates at Stade de France during 2026.
The tour also reached a major milestone in Hong Kong, where The Weeknd became the highest-selling international male solo touring artist in the market, selling nearly 200,000 tickets across his residency there.
The commercial success places The Weeknd among a very small group of artists whose tours have crossed the billion-dollar mark.
His stadium run had already passed $1 billion in reported grosses in 2025, but the additional 2026 dates pushed the final total above $1.3 billion and further strengthened the tour’s position in the record books.
The After Hours Til Dawn Tour was more than a commercial success.
The Weeknd also used the global trek to support humanitarian initiatives. Live Nation says $8.5 million was donated through the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen, supporting programs focused on hunger relief and access to education.
The charitable component has been connected to The Weeknd’s longtime relationship with the United Nations World Food Programme, where he has previously used touring and music initiatives to raise money for humanitarian causes.
The final stretch of the tour also coincided with new music.
During his Hong Kong residency, The Weeknd introduced the song “Hong Kong,” a collaboration connected to Cantopop star Faye Wong. Live Nation says the track went on to achieve several streaming milestones across Chinese music platforms following its debut.
Throughout the tour, The Weeknd built his stadium shows around songs from several stages of his career, combining records from After Hours, Dawn FM and Hurry Up Tomorrow with earlier hits including “The Hills,” “Starboy,” “Can’t Feel My Face,” “Die for You” and “Blinding Lights.”
The final Kuala Lumpur set continued that approach, combining newer material such as “Open Hearts,” “Wake Me Up” and “Timeless” with established fan favorites including “Starboy,” “The Hills,” “Save Your Tears” and “Blinding Lights.”
What started in 2022 as an ambitious stadium tour ultimately became a four-year global operation that repeatedly expanded because of audience demand.
By the time the final show ended, The Weeknd had performed for more than 9 million fans and generated more than $1.3 billion in ticket revenue, setting a new benchmark for touring success by a male artist.
For Abel Tesfaye, the conclusion of After Hours Til Dawn closes one of the defining chapters of his career.
From a collection of albums and stadium performances to 176 shows across five continents, the tour grew into one of the largest live-music runs ever staged — and officially ends with The Weeknd holding another major place in touring history.
