Young Thug is putting renewed focus on Young Stoner Life Records as he works on a new YSL compilation album. After moving forward from the YSL RICO case, Thug has been speaking more about rebuilding the label, spotlighting newer artists, and creating another group project that represents the next chapter of the brand.

During a recent livestream with PlaqueBoyMax, Young Thug revealed that a compilation album is currently in progress. He described the project as a way to bring together the full YSL roster while also highlighting the label’s newer generation. Although he did not share a title, tracklist, or release date, his comments made it clear that the album is one of his current priorities.

The announcement comes at a time when there is also public drama involving YSL artist Nine Vicious. Thug claimed during the livestream that he had re-signed Nine Vicious to YSL and gave him “some millions.” However, Nine Vicious appeared to push back against that statement online, commenting “Cap” under a post discussing Thug’s remarks.

The disagreement has fueled speculation about where Nine Vicious currently stands with the label. Last year, he hinted at tension with Young Thug and YSL, suggesting there were issues behind the scenes involving support, loyalty, and industry politics. Neither side has fully explained the situation, but the latest exchange has added another layer of uncertainty around his involvement in the upcoming compilation.

Despite the drama, Young Thug seems determined to keep the YSL movement active. The planned compilation could serve as a major reset for the label, giving fans a clearer look at its current roster and direction. It may also help reintroduce YSL’s newer artists at a time when Thug is trying to rebuild momentum.

Thug has also shown interest in expanding the label’s reach, recently saying he would do whatever it takes to sign Kodak Black now that Kodak is reportedly independent. Whether that leads to anything official remains unclear, but it shows Thug is thinking beyond just one project.

For now, the YSL compilation remains without a confirmed release date. Still, between Thug’s comments, the Nine Vicious controversy, and ongoing questions about the label’s future, the project is already generating conversation before any music has even dropped.
