Nipsey Hussle’s Marathon brand is continuing to grow, and its next major move is taking the restaurant business outside of Los Angeles. Marathon Burger, the food concept inspired by Nipsey’s vision and carried forward by his family, is officially expanding to Las Vegas.
Blacc Sam, Nipsey Hussle’s older brother, shared the news during an appearance on Power 106’s Brown Bag Mornings. He explained that Las Vegas has always been a city the family viewed as a major growth opportunity for the Marathon brand. The new Vegas location will also mark an important first for Marathon Burger because it will include the company’s first drive-thru.
An official opening date and exact address for the Las Vegas restaurant have not been announced yet. Still, the move is already creating excitement because it represents the brand’s first major expansion outside of Los Angeles. For fans of Nipsey and supporters of the Marathon movement, the Vegas location is another sign that his business legacy is continuing to grow.
Marathon Burger first opened on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles in March 2025. The restaurant was launched under Blacc Sam, the Marathon group, and restaurateur Casey Parker. The idea was not just to create another celebrity-backed food spot, but to bring one of Nipsey’s long-discussed business dreams to life.
According to Blacc Sam, Nipsey had often talked about expanding the Marathon name into different industries, including food. The burger concept also had a personal connection to the brothers’ past. Before the music success and business empire, Nipsey and Sam worked in a restaurant together as teenagers and had talked about opening their own food business one day.
Since opening, Marathon Burger has continued to build momentum. After the Melrose location, the brand expanded to Venice Boardwalk and has grown to several Los Angeles locations, along with a mobile food trailer. The Las Vegas restaurant now gives the company a chance to reach a new market while introducing a more convenient drive-thru model.
The menu is centered around Wagyu smashburgers, including a signature burger served with grilled onions and house-made pickles. The restaurant also reflects the Marathon brand’s larger identity, mixing food, culture, community, and the entrepreneurial mindset that Nipsey Hussle championed throughout his life.
For Blacc Sam and the Marathon team, the expansion is about more than selling burgers. It is another way to continue building on Nipsey’s ideas and keeping his legacy active through real businesses. Rather than limiting the Marathon name to clothing, memories, or tribute projects, the family has continued turning the brand into something that can grow across different spaces.
Nipsey Hussle was killed outside The Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles in 2019, but his influence has only continued to expand. His message of ownership, independence, and community investment remains a major part of hip-hop culture. Marathon Burger is one of the clearest examples of that message being carried forward in a practical way.
The upcoming Las Vegas location shows that the Marathon brand is still moving with purpose. From music and clothing to restaurants and community-driven business ideas, Nipsey’s vision continues to inspire new chapters. With Marathon Burger heading to Vegas, the Marathon truly continues.
