ScHoolboy Q is officially getting ready to enter a new era. The Top Dawg Entertainment rapper recently announced that he is working on a new album titled Thank Que, giving fans confirmation that the follow-up to his 2024 project Blue Lips is on the way.

Q shared the news on Instagram, revealing that the project will include 12 songs and that he has been working on it for some time. While he did not reveal an official release date, the announcement was enough to excite fans who have been waiting to hear where he takes his sound next.

The Los Angeles rapper described the upcoming album as a “new chapter,” which suggests Thank Que could represent another creative shift in his career. ScHoolboy Q has never been an artist who stays in one lane for too long. From the dark, aggressive energy of Oxymoron to the cinematic feel of Blank Face LP and the experimental approach of Blue Lips, he has consistently used each project to push his artistry forward.

Thank Que will arrive after Blue Lips, an album that reminded fans of Q’s sharp pen, unpredictable flows, and ability to mix street stories with humor, reflection, and raw emotion. Even though ScHoolboy Q is not always the loudest presence in rap, his music continues to carry weight because of his distinct voice, creative production choices, and honest approach to storytelling.

The announcement also comes during a meaningful moment in his catalog. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Blank Face LP, one of the most respected albums in ScHoolboy Q’s discography. In a separate Instagram Story, Q revealed plans to celebrate the album with a special show in Los Angeles at the Palladium, along with a new vinyl release for fans.

That anniversary adds even more excitement around Thank Que. Blank Face LP remains one of Q’s most cinematic and detailed bodies of work, so fans are hoping the new album carries the same level of focus and creativity while still showing where he is today as an artist.

ScHoolboy Q has also remained active outside of his own solo releases. He recently appeared alongside Pink Siifu on Lance Skiiiwalker’s track Keep It On, showing that he is still connected to the TDE family and willing to experiment with different sounds. He also joined Kendrick Lamar on select Australian dates of the Grand National tour, reminding fans of the long-running history between the two artists.

Naturally, many fans are already wondering if Thank Que could include a Kendrick Lamar feature or even a Black Hippy reunion. Although a full Black Hippy album has been dismissed in the past, the possibility of Q reconnecting with Kendrick, Jay Rock, or Ab-Soul on a record is still something fans would love to hear.

For now, ScHoolboy Q has not shared a tracklist, guest features, production credits, or release date for Thank Que. Still, the announcement confirms that new music is coming, and the project is already shaping up to be one of the more anticipated TDE releases on the way.

With a new album, a Blank Face LP anniversary celebration, and continued momentum around his name, ScHoolboy Q appears ready to remind listeners why he remains one of the most respected voices in West Coast hip-hop.
