Quavo is preparing to make 2027 a major year for the Migos legacy. During a recent interview with Complex, the Atlanta rapper revealed that three Migos-related projects are currently planned for next year, including a final Migos album, a posthumous Takeoff project and another collaborative release built around Quavo and Takeoff’s Unc & Phew era.

The biggest announcement is the confirmation that Quavo and Offset are working together again on a final Migos album. The project is expected to include previously recorded vocals from Takeoff, allowing all three members of the group to be represented despite Takeoff’s death in 2022.

Quavo has been teasing a Migos reunion for months. In September, he said he and Offset had returned to the studio and were preparing to bring the group back for one more album. He also revealed plans for a tour connected to the project, saying they wanted to properly celebrate the Migos legacy.

The upcoming album would be the first Migos project since Culture III, which arrived in 2021 and became the group’s final full-length release while Takeoff was alive. Quavo has indicated that the new project will not simply continue the Culture series, suggesting that the album could have its own title and direction.

Quavo previously suggested that fans could hear something connected to the reunion around January 2027, which coincides with an anniversary period for the group. However, a specific release date has not been officially announced.

Alongside the Migos reunion album, Quavo confirmed that a new posthumous Takeoff album is also being prepared. Details about that project remain limited, including its title, tracklist, production credits and release schedule. Still, Quavo’s comments make clear that unreleased material from Takeoff will continue to play an important role in preserving his musical legacy.

A third project will reportedly continue the Unc & Phew collaboration between Quavo and Takeoff. The pair released Only Built for Infinity Links in October 2022, just weeks before Takeoff was killed in Houston. The album showcased their chemistry outside of the full Migos lineup and gave the duo their own identity.

Quavo had already hinted at these plans earlier in 2026. In April, he posted a message referencing a Takeoff album, “UNC N PHEW 2,” and a final Migos project, while declaring that the next chapter would continue the group’s legacy rather than replace it. Offset responded shortly afterward with a photo of all three Migos members, adding to speculation that the two surviving members were preparing to reunite creatively.

Since then, Quavo and Offset have gradually rebuilt their relationship after several years of tension. According to Quavo, Takeoff’s death ultimately changed the way he viewed the issues between himself and Offset, making their previous disagreements feel less important.

Quavo explained that losing Takeoff helped put their problems into perspective and made him more willing to support Offset through whatever he was experiencing. Their reconciliation has slowly moved from private conversations into public collaborations and performances.

That renewed chemistry can already be heard on Quavo’s latest solo album, QRÖMELIFE. The Pharrell-produced project includes “Away,” a collaboration with Offset that marks one of their first official songs together since the Migos era.

Quavo and Offset previewed “Away” together during a recent QRÖMELIFE listening event, showing fans that their creative relationship is once again active. The collaboration has become an early indication of what listeners could expect when the two reunite for the upcoming Migos project.

The timing also makes 2027 especially significant for the group. Migos helped reshape mainstream hip-hop throughout the 2010s with their triplet-based flows, Atlanta production and major records including “Versace,” “Bad and Boujee,” “T-Shirt” and “Stir Fry.” Their influence can still be heard across a generation of artists who followed them.

Takeoff’s death on November 1, 2022, changed the future of the group permanently. Since then, both Quavo and Offset have spent years honoring him through music, performances and public tributes while also pursuing their individual careers.

The upcoming projects appear to be Quavo’s way of making sure Takeoff remains part of the group’s final chapter rather than simply moving forward without him. Between the posthumous solo album, a second Unc & Phew project and a final Migos album using Takeoff’s recorded vocals, 2027 could become one of the most important years yet for preserving his catalog and the trio’s history.

Quavo is also entering this period with new momentum from QRÖMELIFE, his third solo album. Produced entirely by Pharrell Williams, the 14-track project features Offset, Future, Lil Baby, T.I., Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky, Yung Miami and Justin Timberlake.

While official release dates for the three Migos-related projects have not yet been announced, Quavo has now made the overall plan clear: 2027 is expected to bring a final Migos album, a posthumous Takeoff project and another Quavo-and-Takeoff release.

For longtime Migos fans, the projects could offer both new music and a final celebration of the chemistry that helped Quavo, Offset and Takeoff become one of the most influential rap groups of their generation.
