Playboi Carti closed out ComplexCon 2026 with a major headlining performance in Los Angeles, bringing out Kanye West, Destroy Lonely and Ken Carson during a set that pulled from several eras of his catalog.
Carti took the stage at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, October 4, as part of ComplexCon’s 10th-anniversary weekend. In addition to headlining the event, Carti also served as one of this year’s artistic directors, helping make the weekend a major showcase for his Opium label and creative world.
One of the biggest surprises came at the beginning of the performance when Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, joined Carti onstage. The pair opened with Ye’s classic “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” before moving into “Carnival” and “Off the Grid,” two songs that highlight the creative relationship the artists have built over the years.
Ye had already been spotted throughout ComplexCon earlier in the day alongside Bianca Censori and his daughter, North West, leading fans to speculate that he might eventually make an appearance during Carti’s set. That speculation proved correct when he stepped onto the stage for the three-song opening run.
After Ye’s appearance, Carti continued with several of his biggest live records, including “Stop Breathing,” “POP OUT,” “Punk Monk,” “Sky,” “Rockstar Made,” “R.I.P.,” “Shoota,” “Long Time,” “FE!N,” “Location,” “New N3on,” “EVIL J0RDAN,” “HBA,” “LIKE WEEZY” and “OLYMPIAN.”
The performance featured music from multiple stages of Carti’s career, including songs associated with Die Lit, Whole Lotta Red and his more recent MUSIC era. That mix gave longtime fans a setlist that balanced older fan favorites with newer material.
Carti also used the show to spotlight his Opium roster. Destroy Lonely joined him for “If Looks Could Kill,” while Ken Carson came out for “Rock N Roll,” making the performance feel like an extension of the larger Opium takeover that had been promoted throughout ComplexCon weekend.
The full set stretched to roughly 25 songs and included several of Carti’s most recognizable concert staples. While some fans had hoped he might preview unreleased music, the show instead focused primarily on established songs and high-profile guest appearances.
Carti’s collaboration with Ye has become an important part of both artists’ recent careers. The two previously worked together on records including “Off the Grid” from Ye’s Donda album and “Carnival” from the Vultures era, making their ComplexCon reunion another addition to their long-running creative relationship.
The performance also came during a busy year for Carti. He has continued performing internationally and maintaining momentum from his latest music while expanding the Opium brand around artists including Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely.
However, the ComplexCon weekend was also surrounded by controversy following an altercation outside the event involving rapper Lucki. Videos circulating online showed Carti nearby during the incident, while Los Angeles police confirmed that multiple people suffered injuries. Authorities were investigating the situation, but Carti had not publicly addressed what happened as of the time of reporting.
Despite the controversy surrounding the weekend, Carti’s Sunday night performance went forward as scheduled and became one of ComplexCon’s biggest musical moments.
With Kanye West opening the show alongside him, appearances from Destroy Lonely and Ken Carson, and a setlist spanning more than a decade of music, Playboi Carti turned his ComplexCon 2026 headline slot into a full showcase of his career and the growing Opium movement.
