21 Savage is continuing his commitment to giving back to the community with the 10th annual Issa Back 2 School Drive. The event took place on Sunday, August 2, at the Wade Walker Family YMCA in Stone Mountain, Georgia, bringing together students, families, and local supporters ahead of the new school year.
Through his Leading By Example Foundation, 21 Savage helped provide backpacks, school supplies, shoes, and food to 2,000 local students and families. The yearly event has become an important community tradition, giving families access to resources that can make the start of the school year easier and more successful.
The back-to-school drive was produced by Momma Flystyle and sponsored by Live Nation. Beyond school supplies and food, the event also served as a celebration of 21 Savage’s growing work in education and financial literacy.
One of the biggest updates from this year’s event was the expansion of his Bank Account financial literacy program. The program, inspired by his multi-platinum single Bank Account, is now set to reach ten schools in DeKalb County. The goal is to teach young people how to better understand money, saving, banking, and long-term financial planning.
The Bank Account initiative was created through 21 Savage’s partnership with Get Schooled and Juma. The program focuses on giving students practical financial tools, including lessons on opening bank accounts, managing money, and saving for college. It also includes Bank Account at Home, a free online version that allows young people across the country to access financial literacy resources.
For 21 Savage, the event is more than a celebrity giveaway. It reflects a larger mission to support youth, strengthen families, and create opportunities in communities that need them most. By combining back-to-school support with financial education, he is helping students prepare for both the classroom and life beyond school.
The 10th annual Issa Back 2 School Drive also marks a major milestone for 21 Savage’s community work. Over the years, he has used his platform to give back in meaningful ways, especially in Georgia, where he has built a strong connection with local families and students.
While 21 Savage is widely known for his success in music, his work outside the studio continues to show another side of his impact. Through school drives, financial literacy programs, and youth-focused initiatives, he is building a legacy that extends beyond hit records.
As the new school year begins, the latest Issa Back 2 School Drive stands as another example of 21 Savage using his influence to uplift the next generation.
