Rapsody - 3:AM ft. Erykah Badu (Live Session)

The North Carolina rapper is no stranger to chez Vevo. She's hit our stage several times previously - we've dug her from the start. First reason: there's never any BS with Rapsody. The rhymes on 'The Return of the B-Girl" were pure fire, and 9th Wonder's beats n samples gave them plenty of punch. Clear, provocative, engaging, always. That eloquence has only been refined since that 2010 debut. The summer of 2024 finds her sharing 'Please Don't Cry,' which starts with the question we all ask ourselves: do you even know who you are? Rapsody spends time sorting out the answer, and along the way we find she's one real deal character with many moods and non-stop ideas. Few rhymers deconstruct a topic with poetic aplomb as Rap. Check "Asteroids" for an example of a mind in constant play. We invited our pal in once again, and watching her spit her way through "3:AM" is a joy to behold.
