H.E.R. on IMO Podcast

Description

This week on IMO, Michelle and Craig are joined by Grammy, Emmy, and Academy Award-winning artist H.E.R. for a candid conversation about growing up in the music industry, finding her voice, and stepping confidently into a new chapter. H.E.R. takes us back to her childhood in the Bay Area, where music was always part of the family, and shares how posting videos on YouTube eventually led to television appearances and record deals. She also reveals the story behind inventing the mysterious H.E.R. persona and why the anonymity gave her the freedom to be vulnerable through her music. We also hear from her about what it was like making the new animated film, Forgotten Island, which hits theaters this month.
