Blacc Sam & Bino Rideaux on Billboard HOUSE

About this Interview

Blacc Sam and Bino Rideaux sit down with Billboard to talk about Nipsey Hussle’s long-awaited project Prolific—recorded in 2017 and finally released this year. They break down what it meant to finish the rollout with the full team, what studio life with Nip was really like, and why preserving the integrity and intent of the music mattered most. Sam also shares why Lauren London wasn’t feeling the original title (“Single for the Summer”), clears up rumors about “new albums,” and gives an update on the Nipsey Hussle documentary (and what fans still don’t know). Plus: the story behind Nipsey’s pivot from Bullets Ain’t Got No Name to The Marathon—and the Nip quotes and songs that still hit the hardest.
